1983  ICT-Prague entered in September 1983 for a 5 years long Masters Degree Programme (Chemical Technology, Technology of Pharmaceuticals, Organic and Physical Chemistry).  

1984  Membership in the Czechoslovak Chemical Society. 

1987 Grand Prix for the Best Students Research Work in Chemistry 1987, Czechoslovak Chemical Society.

1988  Masters Degree completed with Honour at Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague - ICT Prague.  (www.vsht.cz)

1990 – 1995 PhD studied at ICT Prague (Faculty of Chemical Technology) and at State University of New York in Buffalo, (www.buffalo.edu) USA (Department of Chemical Engineering).

1995 Assistant Professor at ICT Prague, research work within the Laboratory for Applied Catalysis and Fine Chemicals, Faculty of Chemical Technology until the end of 1997.

1998 – 2000 Post-doctoral Research Fellow and Teaching Assistant at University of Wales (www.bangor.ac.uk) in Bangor, UK (Group of Computational Chemistry and Group of Electrochemistry) and at Imperial College (www.ic.ac.uk) of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, UK (Group of Computational Chemistry), Membership in NICE (Network for Industrial Catalysis in Europe), Dechema, Frankfurt.   

2003 Associate Professor at ICT Prague, Habillitation process completed in June 2003 with a lecture (Preparation and utilisation of photoactive titanium oxide with predefined nanostructure).

2004 NCFC Group (Nanotechnology, Catalysis, Fine Chemicals) was established in January 2004 at ICT Prague, Organisation of the 6th Pannonian Conference on Catalysis in Srni, Czech Republic.

2005 NCFC became a member of the Research Centre of Excellence for Nanosurface Engineering.

2006 First PhD student from the NCFC group successfully completed and defended his Thesis in December 2006. Exchanges of students from NCFC and TU Wien (www.tuwien.ac.at) and Department of Chemistry, University of Wales in Bangor started. 

2007 Prize of Karl Preis awarded by the Czech Chemical Society for the work Ionic liquids – considerations on their use in homogeneous asymmetric catalysis, Chemicke Listy, 101, 994 (2007), NCFC started to act as the hosting laboratory for students for the Six Months Placement Scheme within the course MChem Course - CHEM 6008, Department of Chemistry, University of Southampton (aktivní link www.soton.ac.uk). Exchanges of students between NCFC and Department of Organic Chemistry, University of Szeged (aktivní link www.u-szeged.hu).

2008 Two other students from the NCFC Group completed their PhD Thesis, Chair of the Czech Committee of the Pannonian Catalytic Group (Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic), NCFC transferred to Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals, (aktivní link www.icpf.cas.cz) Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.       

2009 New project on magnetic nanoparticles and magnetic liquids was launched, scientific co-chair of CHSIA and ECCE 2010 joint congress (http://www.chisa.cz/2010/ ). UJEP – Toxicology courses, common research work

1. NanoPhotoCat Grant Agency of the Czech Republic GACR 104/04/0963 (2004-2006);

The project was focused on photocatalytic properties of various organised nanoparticles.

2. SolarCat – Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic No. MPO CR/FT-TA/023 (2004 – 2006); The project was focused on solar light activated photocatalysts for environmental purposes.

3. Doctoral Project IGrant Agency of the Czech Republic No. GACR 203/03/H140 (co-funding of PhD members of the NCFC Group) (2003 – 2007).

4. Nanostructures for microelectronics – Grant Agency of the Czech Republic No. GAAV KAN400720701, (2007 – 2011); The project deals with production of semiconducting species based on various metal oxides such as silica, zirconia and titania.

5. NanoPin – Research Centre of Excellence for Nanosurface Engineering / Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic No. 1M4531433201 (2005 – 2009); This Research Centre deals with many aspects of nanosurface engineering. The NCFC group, one of the members of this Centre, is focused here on physical and chemical characterisations of supplied nanostructures and on their utilisation in chemical reactions towards fine chemistry.  

6. Doctoral Project II Grant Agency of the Czech Republic No. GACR 203/08/H032-FIS (co-funding of PhD members of the NCFC Group) (2008 – 2011).

7. Czech – Hungarian Bilateral Research Project on Immobilisation of synthetic porphyrines and their synthesis, cooperation between NCFC group, ICT Prague  and the Department of Organic Chemistry, University of Szeged, Ministries of Education of Hungary and of the Czech Republic (2008 – 2009).

8. Project PILGRIM - Preventing community and nosocomial spread and Infection with MRSA ST 398 - instruments for accelerated controL and inteGrated RIsk Management of antimicrobial resistence; Work programme FP7-HEALTH-2007-2.3.1-4; NCFC is here as one of the 12 participants, specifically responsible for the design of self-cleaning surfaces with anibacterial activity.
