2007 Prize of Karl Preis awarded by the Czech Chemical Society for

liquids – considerations on their use in homogeneous asymmetric catalysis,

laboratory for students for the Six Months Placement Scheme within the course
MChem Course - CHEM 6008, Department of Chemistry, University of Southampton

2008 Two other students from the NCFC Group completed their PhD

focused on photocatalytic properties of various organised nanoparticles.

was focused on solar light activated photocatalysts for environmental purposes.

based on various metal oxides such as silica, zirconia and titania.

NanoPin – Research Centre of
Excellence for Nanosurface Engineering / Ministry of Education of the Czech
Republic No. 1M4531433201 (2005 – 2009); This Research Centre deals with
many aspects of nanosurface engineering. The NCFC group, one of the members of
this Centre, is focused here on physical and chemical characterisations of
supplied nanostructures and on their utilisation in chemical reactions towards
fine chemistry.

here as one of the 12 participants, specifically responsible for the design of
self-cleaning surfaces with anibacterial activity.
